THE BEST
OF 2002

"We got a lot of great CDs during the year 2002; here's nine of
our favorites. Why 9? We like things in groups of threes! IN no particular
order..."
Number Nine taken in it's entirety from triCityNews January 09, 2003
We've got Lorraine Petrick, owner of the Pepper Shack in Red Bank to
thank for getting this CD into our hands. When we stopped by her "hot"
place in Red Bank, she shoved the new CD by Stringbean and the Stalkers
into our hands. She's a big fan, too. And she knows we are. Nice girl,
Lorraine. She's always there to take care of us here at triCity. (Never
forget the time she sent us a box of Hoboken Eddie's hot sauces. We're
still red in the face!)
But back to "Little Monster," the second CD from Stringbean
and the Stalkers. Get it. It's the best of their live performances and
more. It contains 15 blues tunes, many of them penned by Ken "Stringbean"
Sorensen himself.
"Little Monster" captures blues in a bottle. At this point,
Stringbean and the Stalkers are bona fide Shore legends, thanks to their
countless performances together and apart.
The band is still a fixture at Belmar's Ragin' Cajun on Sunday nights.
Grab the CD (Lorraine's got plenty at the Shack, 16 White Street, Red
Bank) , see the guys in person, and let the blues wash over you.
